What it is
Botox is botulinum toxin type A - a purified protein that temporarily blocks nerve signals to targeted facial muscles. When those muscles relax, the skin above them smooths out. It’s the most widely studied aesthetic treatment in the world, with over two decades of clinical use behind it.
At Luxe Forté, we use Botox for forehead lines, the "11" lines between the brows, crow’s feet, bunny lines, brow lifting, jawline slimming, and hyperhidrosis. The difference between good Botox and bad Botox is the injector - we place conservatively so you still look like you.
Our Cherry Creek clinic at 36 Steele St, Suite 100 serves Botox patients from across Denver - including nearby Cherry Creek North, Country Club, Congress Park, Belcaro, Hilltop, and Hale, as well as Capitol Hill, Washington Park, and the broader Denver metro. Most clients can reach us within a 10-minute drive. We're located on Steele Street directly across from the Cherry Creek Shopping Center, with Fillmore Plaza just steps away.
Curious how Botox compares with other neuromodulators? Many clients also weigh Dysport and Jeuveau - same-family options with slightly different onset and duration profiles. For dosing, longevity, and aftercare in depth, see our Botox Guide.
What to expect
The appointment takes about 10 to 15 minutes. We’ll map your facial anatomy, mark injection sites, and use a very fine needle - most people describe it as a quick pinch. No numbing is typically needed, and you can go right back to your day afterward.
You’ll start noticing the muscles relax around day 3 to 5, with full results settling in by day 10 to 14. Results typically last 3 to 4 months, and with consistent treatment many clients find their results last longer over time.

Service FAQs
If you don't see your question, just reach out
What areas can be treated with Botox beyond the forehead?
Beyond forehead lines and crow's feet, Botox is commonly used for brow lifts, bunny lines on the nose, lip flip, chin dimpling, jawline slimming, and even neck bands. It can also address excessive sweating in the underarms, palms, and forehead.
Can Botox look natural, or will I look frozen?
When placed by an experienced injector, Botox should soften lines while preserving your natural range of expression. Our approach at Luxe Forté focuses on subtle enhancement - you'll still look like yourself, just refreshed and well-rested rather than overdone.
How often do I need Botox touch-ups?
Results typically last three to four months, though some patients find they can stretch to five months with consistent treatments over time. Regular maintenance helps train the muscles to relax, so many long-term patients notice they need less product as the years go on.
Does Botox hurt during the injection?
The needles used for Botox are incredibly fine, so most people describe the sensation as a brief pinch rather than actual pain. We can apply a topical numbing cream beforehand if you're sensitive, though most patients find it unnecessary once they experience how quick each injection is.
How long does Botox take to show results?
Most patients begin noticing a visible softening of expression lines within three to five days, with full results settling in around ten to fourteen days. Your provider will typically schedule a two-week follow-up to assess your results and make any small adjustments if needed.
How does Botox work for cosmetic purposes?
Botox works by relaxing facial muscles to smooth dynamic lines like forehead wrinkles and frown lines, with results appearing in 3-7 days. Effects typically last 3-4 months, making maintenance treatments every 3 months ideal for sustained results.
Can Botox prevent wrinkles from forming?
Botox pricing varies based on treatment area size and number of units needed. Typical treatments range from $300 to $800 per appointment. We offer package pricing for clients committing to regular maintenance appointments.
Is Botox painful and what is recovery like?
Common treatment areas include forehead lines, frown lines between the brows, crow's feet, and eyebrow lift. Botox can also soften lines on the neck and jawline. Your practitioner will assess your concerns and recommend areas for treatment.
What is the difference between Botox, Dysport, and Jeuveau?
Yes, Botox creates natural-looking results when administered with proper technique and appropriate dosing. The key is subtle enhancement rather than overdone appearance. Our experienced practitioners focus on maintaining your natural expressions.
Which facial areas can be treated with Botox?
Avoid strenuous exercise and heat exposure for 24 hours after treatment to minimize swelling and ensure optimal product placement. Light activity is fine, but intense workouts should wait a day. This helps your body absorb the product properly.
What is Botox and how does it work?
Botox is a neuromodulator that contains a purified form of botulinum toxin, which temporarily relaxes facial muscles that cause expression lines and wrinkles. It works by blocking the signals between nerves and muscles, preventing the targeted muscles from contracting, which smooths lines and prevents new ones from forming. Results typically appear within 3 to 7 days, with full effects visible by two weeks, and last approximately three to four months. Botox is FDA-approved and has been safely used in cosmetic medicine for decades, making it one of the most popular and trusted injectable treatments available.
