What it is
Dysport is a neuromodulator made from botulinum toxin type A - same family as Botox, but with a slightly smaller molecular size. That means it spreads more easily across a treatment area, making it especially well-suited for larger zones like the forehead.
Some people prefer Dysport because it kicks in faster (often 2 to 3 days versus 3 to 5 with Botox) and can feel slightly more natural in broad areas. It’s not better or worse - it’s a different tool, and we’ll help you decide which fits your goals.
Our Cherry Creek clinic at 36 Steele St, Suite 100 serves Dysport patients from across Denver - including nearby Cherry Creek North, Country Club, Congress Park, Belcaro, Hilltop, and Hale, as well as Capitol Hill, Washington Park, and the broader Denver metro. Most clients can reach us within a 10-minute drive. We're located on Steele Street directly across from the Cherry Creek Shopping Center, with Fillmore Plaza just steps away.
Many clients weigh related options like Jeuveau. For dosing, longevity, and aftercare in depth, see our Dysport Guide.
What to expect
Treatment takes 10 to 15 minutes. We’ll clean the area, mark your injection points, and place Dysport with a fine needle. Most people say it feels like a small pinch - no numbing needed for the majority of clients.
Expect results starting around day 2 to 3, with full effect by the end of the first week. Results generally last 3 to 5 months depending on the area treated and your metabolism. Skip heavy exercise, saunas, and lying flat for 4 hours after.

Service FAQs
If you don't see your question, just reach out
Is Dysport safe for the area around my eyes?
When administered by a trained and experienced injector, Dysport is safe and effective for treating crow's feet and the eye area. Precise placement is key - our team uses careful technique to smooth lines while maintaining natural eye movement and expression.
Can I get Dysport if I've never had injectables before?
Dysport is a great option for first-time patients. Your provider will start conservatively and can always add more at a follow-up if needed. We'll walk you through exactly what to expect so you feel completely comfortable before any product is placed.
How quickly does Dysport start working?
Many patients notice the effects of Dysport within 24 to 48 hours, with full results visible by day seven. This faster onset makes Dysport a popular choice for patients who have an event coming up and want results on a tighter timeline.
Does Dysport spread more than Botox?
Dysport does have a slightly broader diffusion pattern, which your injector uses strategically. This can actually be beneficial for treating larger areas like the forehead with fewer injection points, resulting in a smoother, more even result with less discomfort.
How many units of Dysport will I need?
Dysport units are measured differently than Botox - a typical conversion is roughly 2.5 to 3 Dysport units for every 1 unit of Botox. Your provider will determine the exact amount during your consultation based on your muscle strength and treatment goals.
How is Dysport different from Botox?
Dysport has smaller protein molecules that tend to spread more easily across a treatment area, which can be advantageous for larger zones like the forehead. Some patients also report seeing results a day or two sooner with Dysport, though both products deliver comparable outcomes overall.
Are Dysport and Botox interchangeable or can I switch?
Dysport and Botox are similar neuromodulators but have slight differences in formula and onset. Some patients prefer one over the other based on personal response. Switching is possible, though your provider may recommend adjusting units based on product differences.
How long do Dysport results last?
Dysport results typically last three to four months, similar to Botox, though individual timelines vary based on metabolism, muscle mass, and dose used. Some clients experience slightly longer-lasting results (up to 5 months), while others may notice diminishing effects around the 3-month mark. Most practitioners recommend scheduling maintenance treatments every 3-4 months to maintain consistent results. Unlike the onset (where Dysport is faster), the duration of results is comparable to Botox. Consistent, ongoing treatments over time may actually extend the longevity of results as your facial muscles adapt. Your practitioner will help you establish the optimal maintenance schedule for your specific response.
Is Dysport more or less expensive than Botox?
Dysport pricing is generally competitive with Botox, though pricing varies by provider and geographic location. Since Dysport units are not equivalent to Botox units (roughly 3 Dysport units equal 1 Botox unit), cost comparisons should be based on treatment cost per area rather than per unit. Some providers charge similarly for both products on a per-treatment basis, while others may offer slight pricing variations. During your consultation, your practitioner will provide transparent pricing for Dysport vs. Botox based on your specific treatment plan. Some patients find they need fewer Dysport treatments due to the faster onset, potentially offering cost savings in certain situations.
How quickly does Dysport work compared to Botox?
Dysport has a notably faster onset than Botox, often showing visible results within 24 to 48 hours, with full effects typically appearing by one week. In contrast, Botox usually takes 3 to 7 days for initial results and two weeks for peak effect. This faster timeline makes Dysport an excellent choice for clients who want quicker results or have upcoming events. Some practitioners use Dysport specifically for clients wanting rapid improvement. However, "faster" doesn't necessarily mean "better"-both products eventually achieve similar final results; Dysport just gets there sooner. If timing is critical for your event or travel plans, Dysport may be your ideal choice.
What areas are best treated with Dysport?
Dysport's slightly wider spread pattern makes it particularly effective for treating larger areas like the entire forehead, smoothing horizontal lines across a broad surface. The glabella (between the eyebrows) and crow's feet also respond excellently to Dysport. Because of its wider diffusion, Dysport can create a more lifted, refreshed appearance in the upper face when used by experienced practitioners. Some clients prefer Dysport for full forehead treatment because it covers the entire area more evenly, while others choose Botox for more targeted treatment of specific wrinkles. Your practitioner will assess your facial anatomy and recommend the best product and placement strategy for your unique features.
